About Leya

Leya’s creativity spans a vast variety of creative fields from photography, film, design and more.
In fact her interest in shapes began at a very early age as a child, but she began exploring her
sculpting creativity in 2014 after discovering her creative desire on a trip in the historic cities of Italy.

Soon she began creating and invented her own, completely unique and individual approach to sculpting,
using unconventional materials such as fiberglass, epoxy resin, artificial clays, rare woods, metals, and
real bronze and gold patina.

With meticulous use of these materials, she creates a patina that gives the feeling that the sculptures
are formed from precious metals themselves.

Her inspiration ranges from the animalistic world, mystical creatures, human forms, and the passion of
dance, to mythical goddesses and beings. Leya’s works radiate passion, caring energy, and a seamless
sense of floating motion even when stationary.

Since her first exhibition in Ljubljana, her sculptures have been shown across Slovenia and
internationally, like in Vienna, Trieste, Milan, Torino, Croatia, South Korea, and more.
Today, her works are held by gallerists and collectors worldwide, from the US and Saudi Arabia to
the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, and beyond.

Each piece that finds a new home fuels Leya’s drive to create even more, deepening her artistic journey.
